PADI Open Water Diver Course
The PADI Open Water Diver course is your gateway to exploring the underwater world with confidence, safety, and skill. This globally recognized certification allows you to dive independently with a buddy to a maximum depth of 60 feet / 18 meters, anywhere in the world.
At Sentec Scuba, we don’t rush students through a checklist — we train divers who are comfortable, capable, and prepared for real-world conditions.
What You’ll Learn
Proper scuba equipment setup and use
Breathing, buoyancy control, and underwater communication
Dive planning and safety procedures
Problem-solving skills for common underwater situations
Confidence in both confined water and open water environments
Course Structure
The Open Water Diver course is completed in three phases:
Knowledge Development – Learn the fundamentals of scuba diving theory
Confined Water Training – Practice core skills in a controlled environment
Open Water Dives – Apply what you’ve learned during real dives
Scheduling for training sessions is coordinated after enrollment to accommodate instructor availability and student needs.

Beginners with no prior scuba experience
Those looking to earn a lifelong certification
Anyone wanting to dive safely, correctly, and confidently
Prerequisites
Minimum age: 10 years old
Ability to swim and be comfortable in the water
Completion of a medical questionnaire (physician approval may be required)

Professional instruction by certified PADI instructors
Confined water and open water training dives
PADI Open Water Diver certification upon successful completion
What’s Not Included
Required personal dive gear (mask, fins, snorkel, boots)
Open water site entry fees (if applicable)
eLearning materials (if not bundled)
