PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about building confidence, experience, and comfort in the water through supervised, real-world diving. This course is designed to expand your skills, improve situational awareness, and introduce new types of diving under the guidance of a professional instructor.

There’s no classroom grind and no final exam — learning happens where it should: in the water.

What You’ll Learn

  • Advanced buoyancy control and trim

  • Underwater navigation techniques

  • Deep diving procedures and gas management

  • Environmental awareness and dive planning

  • Exposure to new dive environments and conditions

Course Structure

The Advanced Open Water Diver course consists of five adventure dives, including:

  • Deep Adventure Dive

  • Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive

The remaining dives are selected based on conditions, student interest, and instructor guidance, and may include:

  • Peak Performance Buoyancy

  • Night Diving

  • Wreck Diving

  • Search and Recovery

  • Boat Diving

Scheduling for dives is coordinated after enrollment.

Prerequisites

  • PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent certification)

  • Minimum age: 12 years old
